California Senate Approves $24 million for Gun Confiscation

There was a question on whether the mental health system would be abused as a way to to take guns, and that is was not necessary to have restrictions on who is allowed to own or possess a gun.

This was a most excellent response:

Who decides mental health? a government, some Dr.? You?…. none of the above fit with the freedoms in the constitution. Innocent until proven guilty of a crime. What I may or may not do in the future is irrelevent. Once I have committed an illegal act is the time when the constitution provides for legal remedies. Until then NOONE has the authority to remove God given rights, period end of that discussion.

Convicted felons? Have they paid their debt to society? If so rights should be fully restored, If not why are they on the street again? This idea that paying that debt for life through loss of only certain rights instead of all of them to make everyone feel better is simply tyranny in one of it’s worst forms, that of limited restrictions on actions to eliminate others fear of future actions. Again guilty until proven innocent?

There is a system, it’s called the constitution and the bill of rights and the laws that follow those. While I agree that our legal system is so perverted at the moment from those in power that justice is unobtainable in it’s current form, following abuses of power with more abuse would be laughable if it wasn’t so readily accepted as the answer. Shall not be infringed doesn’t have any “except, unless, etc” at the end and should be the ONLY answer to attempts to remove that right from anyone not currently incarcerated for being duly guilty of a legitimate crime.

Lefty judges and uninformed jury pools are better than doctors and politicians how exactly? Very few if any could pass a simple 6th grade test on the constitution and the bill of rights assuming they are even capable of the reading comprehension necessary to attempt such a test. In today’s world only incontrovertible proof would convince me to accept anyone in that position let alone our current leo’s and judges.

There are so very few innocents in this world for that to be other than a non-issue. By the age of consent, anyone shown the finality of death by a firearm is absolutely aware of the consequences of misuse and should be held accountable. Our failing as a society is in letting people believe that someone else should be responsible for our own security, whether that is leo or judges or the local warlord. The end result is the same. Anarchy is at least an honest answer. I don’t advocate anarchy, simply recognize that it would be no different than the current answers, if more violent.

Finally, I don’t have answers, only questions yet adding additional control from a corrupt and out of reach government is certainly NOT the answer.

Be careful what you ask for. It is exceedingly easy to label someone mentally ill. Including yourself. Politicians and the government already consider people who embrace freedom, the constitution and small government as mentally ill. Likewise if you disagree with their agenda. The professional psychiatric loons have fabricated a lot of mental issues, mostly in an attempt at self-diagnosis.

Rhode Island is reportedly conducting an audit of registered gun owners. When they’re finished, they are expected to send “Safety Teams” to verify their registration records. It would not be unreasonable to expect Rhode Island to also obtain an ammunition inventory that accompanies each gun.

The globalists are already seizing guns from people who are prohibited from owning firearms because of criminal convictions or serious mental illness.

They are also expanding definitions for schizophrenia and PTSD.  Building a blanket diagnosis specifically for gun owners that will  include people on anti-depressants, anti-seizure medications, sleeping aids, attention deficit disorder, hyperactive, etc…

Reportedly, Law Enforcers are expressing fear of having to do confiscation duty. This is not only because of the 2nd Amendment, but also because they know it’s going to be a bloodbath on both sides, their families included.  Otherwise, Law Enforcers do not complain too much, about enforcing UNconstitutional laws, do they?

Those pushing the agenda have the power.  The are puppets, following orders.  And they will be the ones to decide what qualifies as “criminal conviction” or “serious mental illness”. It will be those in opposition to anything the globalists are promoting.  Including those “clinging” to their Bibles and guns”, just as Obama has publicly stated.

  1. I do not have the numbers, but I suspect that most of those “prohibited possessors” in California only have had a restraining order taken out against them. Restraining orders are notoriously easy to obtain, and are often used as a cheap and easy revenge on a spouse or significant other.

Hi, Dean. Thank you for the insight. The state will take advantage of every opportunity to divide and destroy the family. I’m convinced that was the purpose of “womens’ suffrage”.
