The Open Carry vs Concealed Carry position is flawed.
Registration leads to confiscation. Any kind of registration. A permit to purchase is registration. A permit to carry concealed or otherwise, is registration.
There may be a fairly long time period in between registration and confiscation, measured in years. That does not defeat the premise, as history has proven time and time, again.
Germany implemented national gun registration in the 1920s. The Enabling Act allowed Hitler to project dictatorial powers. He used the gun registration lists, in 1938, to first disarm and then to exterminate his enemies, primarily the Jews. A lot of people say we are living current events that are much like Germany of 1939.
Here is a nice summary of the last 100 years… They WILL Kill You
And, from the white house… Shocking W.H. Statement ~ ‘Wise to kill Americans’
Any kind of permit or record, constitutes registration, which leads to confiscation. Licensed gun dealers must maintain their records, until they go out of business. At the time a gun dealer goes out of business, their records must be surrendered to the federal government. Then, there are cases where gun dealer records have found their way to federal agents, even as the gun dealers remain in business.
Never mind the oppressive force the government applies, such as with the case of Fast and Furious. That is where the government basically forced gun dealers to commit a crime by illegally selling guns to the Mexican drug cartels. This was ostensibly to provide an excuse to ramp up the rhetoric against your God-given Second Amendment Rights. There is recent court action involving one family from Deming, NM. How would you like to have your life destroyed, by the government, for no good reason? Here is a clue: Your life has already been destroyed by the government, for no good reason, whether you know it, or not. This is all according to the agenda being implemented by the globalists.
Back on topic: having to ask for a permit is even more insidious. It converts a God-given Right into a State-given privilege, with your consent.
The heat is on. You have to ask why, if you don’t already know. Otherwise, you are brain-dead.
Reports on most mass shootings are so flawed as to suggest that each alleged shooter was little more than a patsy. A plausible scapegoat, while the real perpetrators are never acknowledged, much less identified.
It seems that the propaganda media has been suppressing shooting incidents. Not only shooting incidents where perpetrators were stopped by armed, law-abiding citizens. But, also criminal acts. Now, recently, there seems to be more propaganda media reports of all kinds of shooting incidents. But, still not so much reporting of perpetrators which were stopped by armed, law-abiding citizens.
Those with eyes to see, will see.

In this segment of his Virtual State of the Union, the Virtual President talks about why politicians want to talk about gun control rather than crime control, and delivers the factual evidence and historical truths that make the case for the Second Amendment self-evident.
Why should ordinary citizens own a gun?
Because owning a police officer is too expensive. Time and time again, statistics show that the that law enforcement arrives usually just in time, to draw the chalk outline around your body.
Why do some states have a mandatory waiting period, after purchasing a gun?
Some states, such as Illinois and others, have a mandatory “cooling off period” when purchasing a firearm. At Gun Right Across America, we do not support this. As a former Illinois resident, I can personally attest to the fact that nobody went back to retrieve their firearm after the mandatory wait, and said “I’m not mad anymore.” This is just another silly restriction that some liberal states impose, to create more useless restrictions.
Open carry / Concealed carry
Why do some states allow ordinary law abiding citizens to carry a firearm?
I say why not! The key word is law abiding. 49 of 50 states currently have legislation for citizens to train, qualify, and carry a firearm. As an American, our second amendment guarantees us this freedom, and we will fight to keep it.
Which is better? Open carry or concealed carry?
Ahhh, yes, the age old debate. Open carry is a deterrent. Concealed carry gives you the element of surprise. Given both options, I carry concealed, but that’s just my personal preference. There’s advantages and disadvantages to both. If you do open carry, you do have to be much more alert to your “personal space” and surroundings. At Gun Rights Across America, we support both methods 100%.
